It came home with me

Remember this little fellow?

I talked about him here – It’s the Simplest Things.

Well, I couldn’t stand it. He finally came home with me. I don’t know what I’d have done if someone came in and had to have it before I brought it home!

The perfect spot, at the moment, seems to be the small dining room buffet. (We have two dining rooms. Sorta. A little room that is officially the dining room, but our living room is really long and has a big table on one end for all those family and friend dinner parties we so rarely have.) So this is in the little, official dining room.

The cherub lamp came from my mother’s bedroom. 1967. She had a decorator named Gaynell come do our house and Gaynell put this lamp on a dresser in the master bedroom. I was kinda excited when my stepmother didn’t want it. ;-)

I’ve been gathering a few brown transferware pieces for that room. I’m not terribly happy with the plate. Too much yellow, but it’ll do for now. Somehow the little sheep fit right in.
